Here at Jones & Juliet Casting, Nef Jones, Juliet Axon, and a team of casting associates and researchers brings the best of real people casting and actor casting together to tell compelling, authentic stories that represent a diverse range of experiences and perspectives. The casts we pull together are as unique as the world around us.

Formerly known as Nef Jones Casting, our team has 20+ years of casting experience.  Jones and Juliet Casting can handle casting calls of all sizes, from nationwide casting to specific regional casting. Our casting company has experience handling castings for commercials, documentaries, branded content, feature films with real people, actors, print campaigns, reality, industrials, voice over campaigns, and music videos.

Our team was tasked with finding long-standing pillars of the community in the Fordham section of the Bronx - people who make up the fabric of the neighborhood with their service to their neighbors. The process was weeks-long and included talking to community members to hear their nominations, researching local news stories, and interviewing potential subjects. We feel proud to have been a part of uplifting local community members and their non-profits.

The Jones & Juliet Casting team cast 18 principal acting roles for this spot over a week-long period, to find talent who could portray patients with acute health problems, doctors, and family members.

J Balvin - Ten Cuidado

The Jones & Juliet Casting team cast a combination of professional dancers, real people, and actors to create the feeling of an authentic urban New York street scene in this special music video collaboration between J Balvin and Pokeman. The project was cast using our relationships with dance agents and commercial agents and our extensive real people database.

Hope Builds
Real People Documentary (Nationwide)

Over a three-month period, we conducted preliminary interviews across the country with survivors of natural disasters and employees who were affected by the Joplin MO tornado, Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, and the Paradise Wildfires in CA.
Our process included researching news stories from survivors and tracking them down, then conducting extensive interviews as a preliminary production step for the documentary. The survivors' stories were heart-wrenching and often terrifying, but illuminated the remarkable heroism and selflessness of everyday Americans who stepped up to aid their fellow community members.

About Jones & Juliet Casting

As a woman-owned small business, we are proud to bring our diversity of interests and experiences to our real people and actor castings.

Native New Yorker Nef Jones was raised in Alphabet City during the late 70s and 80s and brings 20 years of experience casting both real people and actors. As an accomplished musician herself, Nef co-founded Haven Kids Rock, a nonprofit music and arts program in the South Bronx with rock-guitarist husband Jimi K Bones. Haven Kids Rock caters to children in the foster care and welfare system.

Juliet Axon found her way to casting over a decade ago. Having grown up in a family of visual artists and with a background in theater, film and TV, Juliet uses her love for visual storytelling to pull authentic stories and performances from real people in documentary style casting, and her extensive experience in narrative work to assemble casts of actors.

The Jones & Juliet Casting team brainstorms a unique plan of action for each project. Our research team conducts extensive outreach to organizations and utilizes social media to find prospective real people talent for hard to find specs, nationwide. We have an extensive real people database from across the country to pull from. The Jones & Juliet Casting team also has great relationships with agents and managers for campaigns that call for actor casting.  Depending on the needs of the project, our team can handle self-tape castings, virtual casting sessions, and in-person casting sessions. We also have travel casting capabilities when required.
